Why did you become a doctor and why did you choose your specialty?
Grew up reading my mother's nursing textbooks and was always interested in medicine. My son has a rare form of food allergies which led me to this specialty.
How long have you practiced in the Washington, DC area and what do you like most about it?
I've worked in the area intermittently for 12 years. I enjoy the diverse population.
What do you most enjoy doing outside of your clinical practice, when you’re not working?
I like to spend time with family, friends, and animals. I love to travel, cook, read, and create art.
Do you volunteer? If so, where?
Yes. I'm on the Board of Directors for the Cherry Blossom Breast Cancer Foundation. I also volunteer at the Nalani Horse Recovery at my children's school.
Describe your proudest accomplishment as a provider and/or in your personal life:
My children are my proudest accomplishment!
If you weren’t a doctor, what profession would you most likely be doing and why?
