Why did you become a doctor and why did you choose your specialty?
I chose a career in medicine because I wanted to do work that matters. I am so grateful for the opportunity to help others, and to hopefully improve the lives of children, even in the smallest of ways. The field of medicine is constantly changing and it’s exciting to be in a career where you never stop learning. I fell in love with pediatrics while on my student rotations at EVMS. Working in pediatrics has a way of keeping you grounded and reminding you of what’s truly important!
What do you most enjoy doing outside of your clinical practice, when you’re not working?
When I’m not working I enjoy going to the beach or hiking with my husband and our dogs, traveling, and taking photos.
